BOREAS - Illustration & Drawing Identity

"Boreas" is the name of a Illustration and Drawing portfolio I'm doing in my spare time.

Based off of the name for the greek god of the north winds and winter bringer, it was kind of a challenge finding a way to symbolize that background...

The Idea came from an urge to make look something with that background into something more futuristic, hence the type choice.

Boreas is sometimes portrayed as a winged man; taking the wings element as part of the identity is vital for this to work (at least for me). The center part resembles a compass, compasses always need to point to the north (or in this case, up), the lower part was made only to balance that and to give the symmetrical treatment.
Typeface "Anurati" was made by Emmeran Richard check it out here!
As Boreas was the bringer of winter, I found the inspiration for the color scheme to be on the Aurora Borealis, the northern lights as these two are the most common colors found on them and I tried to be the most nature loyal possible...
This is the particular image of the aurora I based the color shcheme off.
As a final touch, I feel the Auroras are way prettier and way cooler to gaze upon a night sky, this is why I chose this one in particular, however I can be used on pretty much any nice shot that showcases the Milky Way.
Lastly, the page where all my drawings are showcased, I would appreciate if you could check them out!
I'm aspiring to draw and write comic books and manga and this is where I'm showcasing all that effort...
